Ship ahoy – many trips for 2026 are now available for booking

What is a bike + boat tour?

Bike and boat trips offer a varied combination of pleasant relaxation and sporting activity. With this type of trip, you stay on board a comfortable ship that also serves as a floating hotel. During the day, you cycle along well-signposted routes to the most beautiful highlights of the region – along the water, through charming old towns, past vineyards, castles, or nature reserves. In the evening, you return to the ship, where a cozy dinner and relaxation on the sun deck await you.

Our most beautiful tours

In recent weeks, we have updated many of our bike and boat tours for 2026 – it's worth taking a look. Germany's most beautiful regions can be explored wonderfully by bike and boat, and other European countries also offer a variety of fantastic regions that are perfect for this special type of travel.

Bike route along the ships

Germany – Diverse river landscapes

Saar & Moselle

This journey takes you through one of Germany's most beautiful wine-growing regions. Between Saarburg, Trier, and Koblenz, the Saar and Moselle rivers wind their way through steep vineyards, medieval villages, and Roman cultural sites. The evenings on board with a glass of Riesling are particularly atmospheric.

MS Olympia on the Moselle

Brand new in the program starting in 2026: Main-Danube Canal

Between picturesque Franconia and traditional Bavaria, you can expect enjoyment, culture, and impressive scenery. Discover historic cities such as Bamberg, Nuremberg, and Regensburg, and cycle along well-maintained paths by the water. The canal itself is a technical masterpiece—perfectly combined with leisurely cycling through rolling hills.

Berlin - Stralsund

From the vibrant capital to the Baltic Sea – this tour combines history, nature, and fresh sea air. You will cycle through the idyllic Havelland region, along the Oder and Neisse rivers, and enjoy the vastness of endless fields and the fresh breeze of the Baltic Sea coast. The grand finale: the old Hanseatic city of Stralsund and the view of Rügen.

Europe – experience the most beautiful waterways

Holland & Belgium – Kingdoms of cyclists

A classic: cycle through flat countryside past windmills, canals, and tulip fields. In cities such as Amsterdam, Haarlem, Gouda, and Bruges, you can experience typical Dutch cycling culture up close. On board, the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy—perfect for reviewing the day's events over a beer on the sun deck.

Mill on the bike route through North Holland

The Danube – Europe's blue lifeline

The Danube connects four countries and numerous cultures. From Passau via imperial Vienna and charming Bratislava to Budapest: along the Danube Cycle Path, you will experience castles, monasteries, vineyards, and magnificent cities—always accompanied by surprising tranquility and the beauty of nature.

Italy – following in Venetian footsteps

The Venice Lagoon, the vast Po Valley, or the mysterious Po Delta: Italy's north delights with flat bike paths, culinary delights, and Mediterranean flair. Spend your days cycling through Renaissance towns and explore them on foot, then enjoy freshly caught fish on board in the evening—pure Italian joie de vivre.

Chioggia Bridge

France – Savoir-vivre on board

Whether it's the Loire, Provence, or the Canal du Midi, France combines enjoyment, scenery, and culture. A bike and boat trip through Provence takes you to lively markets, traditional wine cellars, and medieval towns. Particularly charming and popular: the boats in Provence are small and intimate—just like France itself.

Pont du Gard

Croatia - island hopping by bike

Sea views, Mediterranean lifestyle, and a dash of adventure: Croatia delights with fantastic combinations of cycling and island hopping. On board a traditional motor sailboat, you glide from island to island – whether in Kvarner Bay or along the sun-drenched Dalmatian coast. In between, the crystal-clear water invites you to cool off. A special highlight for anyone who wants to combine a cycling vacation with the joys of swimming.

Comfort on board

The ships range from rustic river boats and modern motor yachts to stylish sailing ships with cabins. The cabins are generally compact but cozy, with private bathrooms and often windows with a view of the water. Many ships serve high-quality regional menus, and some also pamper you with a small wellness area or electric bikes for hire.
A particularly pleasant feature is that your luggage stays on board, making the cycle route a leisurely stage of the journey. And if you don't feel like cycling, no problem. Just stay on board and enjoy the passing landscape from the sun deck.

Our conclusion

Discover at a slower pace

Whether you're gliding through the green heart of Holland, along the Danube or through the lagoon landscape of Italy, with Bike & Boat you'll experience a new adventure every day without having to sacrifice comfort.

Climb aboard. Come on board. And let the world flow gently by.
