The MS Casanova sails under the Swiss flag. The furnishing style is reminiscent of rococo with playful details and reproduced paintings by famous artists. The 48 outside cabins are approx. 12 m² in size and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe (deposit required), minibar and adjustable air conditioning. The 22 cabins on the main deck are equipped with panoramic windows that cannot be opened. The 2-bed Deluxe cabins are slightly more spacious than the Standard cabins.

All 26 cabins on the upper deck are equipped with a French balcony. The floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened. In the ECO cabins, which are located at the rear of the ship, engine and generator noises are audible. The panorama saloon invites you to relax with a glass of wine or a cocktail, while breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant. On the sun deck, which can be reached via a steep staircase and is equipped with sun loungers and seating, you can relax after the day's excursions.

Tour

Arrive early, because Bamberg's old town (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is well worth a visit. First visit the Imperial Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George and the New Residence and then stroll through the alleyways of the old town. Embarkation is possible from 4 pm.

You leave Bamberg and follow the cycle path through the meadows of the Regnitz valley. Your first destination for the day is Forchheim with its beautiful town hall and pretty old town. After a short tour and a well-earned break, you continue your ride to Erlangen. Erlangen is Bavaria's smallest city with a very special charm. Take a stroll through the magnificent palace gardens and let yourself be enchanted by the winding alleyways of the old town, which create a unique ambience with their French flair.

In the morning, you cycle through flat countryside and sandy pine forests. Marvel at the large oak trees entwined with wild hops that shade the floodplains. Take a worthwhile detour to Fürth before you reach today's destination of your cycle tour, always following the Regnitz cycle path: Nuremberg, the old imperial city with over 1000 years of history. Discover the Imperial Castle and the Albrecht Dürer House.

Today you will follow the historic Main-Danube Canal, which was built by King Ludwig I. It is one of the oldest canals in the world and will delight you with its beautiful panoramas and 101 locks. You cycle into the Rothsee National Park and on to Hilpoltstein, where your boat is already waiting for you.

Today's stage takes you through the charming Altmühltal valley. From Hilpoltstein, follow the well-signposted cycle path along the Main-Danube Canal. Enjoy the views of lush green meadows, rugged cliffs and historic locks. In Beilngries, explore the picturesque old town with its medieval flair.

Today's stage is quite short, so there is plenty of time to get to know the fascinating nature and history of this part of the Altmühltal. You can immerse yourself in the history and geology of this area on numerous information boards. In between, you will always have the opportunity to fortify yourself with a coffee or ice cream sundae. Today's destination, Riedenburg, is quickly reached. Perhaps you would like to visit one of the castle ruins above the town?

You follow the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal at a leisurely pace to Kelheim, where the Altmühl and Danube flow together. The town's former prosperity can still be seen today in its impressive baroque buildings and the imposing Liberation Hall. You then continue along the Danube cycle path to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Regensburg. The impressive old town, the Gothic St. Peter's Cathedral and the famous Stone Bridge await you there.

Today your beautiful bike & boat trip from Bamberg to Regensburg ends after breakfast at 09:00 with disembarkation.

The planned route is always subject to possible changes due to nautical, meteorological or organisational reasons. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water, bad weather or construction work, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety. This is not a legally valid reason for cancelling the trip free of charge. The same applies in the event of officially ordered lock or bridge repairs or in the event of engine or propulsion damage to the ship through no fault of the captain.

As your ship usually sails to the next harbour on the same day, your time frame for your own activities and sightseeing is limited. On some bridges, the clearance height is so low that the sun deck is closed for your safety.
