Cultural Diversity – World Famous Buildings

Europe is multilingual, not only in the different countries, but partly within a country there are different linguistic communities. Cultures and buildings are as diverse as languages. Historically, there are buildings from Roman antiquity, as well as from Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Historicism and finally Modernism. The Louvre in Paris is considered the most popular museum in the world. The Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica in the Italian capital Rome are world famous, while the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon with its Manueline architecture, a variant of the late Gothic, is a must for every visitor to Portugal. In Vienna, the Steffl, St. Stephen's Cathedral, is one of the main attractions. The fortress belt of Amsterdam has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. - The diversity of Europe is overwhelming.

Culinary diversity

Bavarian beer, French wine, North German grain, tea in England, cappuccino in Italy... So far, so well known the drinks. And Bavarian pork chops, Nuremberg gingerbread, French cheese, Spanish paella, Italian spaghetti, Danish smörrebröd, Black Forest cherry tarts to eat. Bring hunger and thirst with you on your travels to Europe!

Landscape diversity

The landscapes are as diverse as the countries: Norwegian fjords in the north or Sicilian beaches in the south, the mountains of the Pyrenees between France and Spain or the Alps shared by Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Slovenia and Switzerland. Do you prefer the rough North Sea, the dunes of the Baltic Sea, the Atlantic Ocean with its high waves or the quieter Adriatic, the Mediterranean Sea? Fresh water can be found at the numerous lakes, of which the so-called Three Countries Sea of Constance and the huge Müritzsee are to be called here. Forests and nature parks abound. There are currently 273 national parks in Europe. So all you have to do is decide where you want to cycle.

Europe has a multitude of impressive, beautiful cycle paths to offer, which lead through varied landscapes and culturally rich regions.
One of the most beautiful cycle routes is the Danube Cycle Route from its source in Germany via Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and on to the Black Sea.

As a leisure cyclist, you can expect to cycle around 30 - 50 kilometres a day. This still leaves enough time for breaks, photo stops and visits to places of interest. If you are a little more ambitious and perhaps cycle a lot at home, you can also manage distances of around 50 - 80 kilometres a day.

Definitely yes - and there are many reasons for this:

  • You experience the world more intensely because you're right in the middle of it on a bike and not just whizzing past
  • You slow down, no traffic jams, no time pressure, no stress - the journey is the destination
  • Cycling is meditative: pedal by pedal, completely in the flow
  • Pure flexibility - A stop to jump into a lake? Take a nice photo? No problem, stop whenever you want
  • Physical activity = happiness hormones - the movement wakes you up, makes you happy and you fall into bed in the evening really satisfied and tired
  • Discovering little gems: off the main roads, the most beautiful places and surprises are often waiting to be discovered
