From Emden to Dagebüll with the East and North Frisian Islands

Discover the North Sea by bike on the North Sea Cycle Route. It is one of the most spectacular cycle routes in Europe. The entire route is 5,942 km long and passes through six countries: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, Belgium and the Netherlands – always along the North Sea. Enjoy the fresh, healthy North Sea air, the wind at your back and the sun in your hair as you cycle along.
The North Sea Cycle Route takes you to many white beaches and, of course, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Wadden Sea National Park. The cycle paths lead idyllically along the dyke, behind the dyke, through small villages, to towns worth seeing such as Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven, through lush meadows and wide fields. Look forward to rewarding breaks in nice cafés with sea views, swimming breaks in the waves of the North Sea and good East and North Frisian cuisine. The North Sea Cycle Route does not only stick to the coast; the cycle paths on the East Frisian and North Frisian islands of Borkum, Norderney, Langeoog, Wyk and Amrum, which you can explore on day trips, are a special treat.
