The journey takes you to Husum. There is a lot to see in this old trading and harbor town. Enjoy a first stroll through the alleys of the old town or through the castle park.
The first bike trip takes you through the marshlands to the "Dutch town" Friedrichstadt. Take a stroll through the winding streets of the old town with its many small stores and enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants. Boat tours are offered on the canals. Come aboard! In the afternoon you return to Husum.
Start early for today's cycling stage. You will cycle from the coast inland to Schleswig on the Schlei. The first part of the tour takes you along flat to slightly hilly paths through the Treeneniederung. In Fahrdorf near Schleswig, the Viking Museum Haithabu entices you to visit. This Viking trading center and the Danewerk border fortifications were declared a World Heritage Site in 2018. Back to Husum you cycle along the Danewerk via Ellingstedt and Hollingstedt. If this stage is too long for you, you can take the regional train in Schleswig (at your own expense) to Husum and shorten the stage by about 40 km.
In the morning you will travel by train to St. Peter-Ording (on your own). Enjoy the seaside resort hustle and bustle and the wide beaches in the resort. After a walk, get on your bikes and ride past the Westerhever lighthouse and always along the Wadden Sea back to Husum.
The Nordstrand peninsula is on Husum's doorstep. Nordstrand is the home of the coffee specialty "Pharisee". A Pharisee consists of strong coffee, rum, sugar and some whipped cream as a topping and is considered the national drink of the North Frisians. Go in search of clues about the history behind this name and enjoy the North Sea climate. In the afternoon you cycle back to Husum.

Parking facilities at the arrival hotel
Depending on the hotel and availability, you can park your vehicle at the hotel for the duration of your trip for a fee. The parking fees for the hotel parking lots are approx. 6.00 € to 15.00 € per day, in the public parking garage at the inland port approx. 6.00 € per day, payable on site. Advance reservations are not possible.
You will receive detailed information about the parking facilities at the hotel you have booked with the detailed travel documents two weeks before the start of your trip.
Available rental bikes
You have the choice between ladies' and men's touring bikes with back-pedalling or freewheel (both with hub gears). Children's bikes are also available on request.
The touring bikes with back-pedalling have 7 or 8 gears (depending on availability).
The touring bikes with freewheel have 7 gears. On request and depending on availability, we can also offer 24-speed touring bikes with freewheel. The request for 24 gears will then be noted, but cannot be guaranteed.
We also offer 7/8-speed electric bikes (all women's bikes) with freewheel or coaster brake (subject to availability).
Please let us know your bike preference when you make your booking.
Extra costs that are not included in the travel price
Any tourist tax is not included in the tour price and must therefore be paid at the hotel.
The use of rental bikes during additional nights is possible for an extra charge. Please make this request when booking.

Passport and visa requirements
For EU citizens, there are no special passport or visa requirements or health formalities to be observed for this trip.
Travel insurance
The statutory insolvency insurance is already included in the tour price. In addition, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance after receiving your travel confirmation in order to protect yourself against financial disadvantages in the event of cancellation, curtailment, illness or accident.
