Deluxe ship Andela Lora
The Anđela Lora, completed in the spring of 2012, will be sent on island hopping trips alongside the Linda as Captain Damir's second ship. The motor yacht is an extremely elegant steel ship of the deluxe category. With an impressive length of 40 m and a width of 8.50 m, she is one of the largest ships in our Croatian fleet. 17 spacious and tastefully furnished guest cabins (12 - 14 sqm)
with tiled bathrooms and separate showers are at your disposal. At the stern, the ship has a bathing platform that allows easy access to the sea. A cozy lounge on the upper deck of the ship and numerous loungers on the various sun decks invite you to relax and make the trip on the Andela Lora a special experience.
Tour
Individual arrival in Omišalj, a tranquil harbor town on the island of Krk. Use the time before embarkation to take your first dip in the Adriatic Sea or enjoy an ice cream at the ice cream parlor located directly at the harbor. Between 2:00 and 2:30 p.m., you will board the motor sailboat and settle into your cabin. At around 3:00 p.m., the ship will set sail and take you to Cres in four hours. In the evening, you will take a guided tour of the town.
In the morning, you will set off on your first bike tour towards Martinšćica. Your boat will be waiting for you there, with a hearty lunch on board. You will then set course for the island of Lošinj. On the way, there will be time for a refreshing swim before you reach the charming coastal town of Mali Lošinj. This traditional seafaring and spa resort will enchant you with its wide harbour basin, colourful house facades and numerous cosy cafés – ideal for a relaxing end to the day.
Along the charming waterfront promenade, which gently winds its way through numerous small bays, you cycle south to Veli Lošinj. This idyllic little town captivates visitors with its colourful harbour, bobbing fishing boats and the imposing Church of St. Anthony, which towers proudly above the town. After a delicious lunch on board, the ship weighs anchor and takes you to the flower island of Molat. There you will complete another short cycling stage and spend the night on the island.
In the morning, your ship will take you to the unspoilt island of Dugi Otok. In the idyllic bay of Božava, surrounded by fragrant pine trees, agaves and tamarisk trees, you will hop on your bike. Your tour will mainly take place on quiet, almost traffic-free roads, offering relaxed cycling conditions right from the start. First, you will cycle to the northernmost point of the island. There you will find a historic lighthouse from the time of Austrian rule and a sweeping view of the sea – perfect opportunities for impressive souvenir photos. The route then continues southwards. Again and again, magnificent views open up along the ‘long island’ as you cycle leisurely to Savar.
In Savar, your ship is already waiting to take you on to Zadar. For centuries, the city has been considered the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. Around 3,000 years of history are reflected in the cityscape: impressive fortress walls with defensive towers, historic squares and buildings, and the famous early Romanesque Basilica of St. Donatus invite you on an exciting tour of discovery.
After the morning crossing, you will reach the island of Pag. The barren yet fascinating landscape is characterised by fig and olive trees and countless traditional stone walls, which were built over centuries to provide protection from the often strong winds. Your cycle tour begins in Novalja and takes you across the increasingly narrow peninsula down to the sea at Lun. Along the way, you can enjoy sweeping views of the rugged island landscape and the deep blue water. From Lun, you will continue by boat to the island of Rab. Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The fortified town of Rab was built here in the Middle Ages on a wedge-shaped headland – a real highlight of the trip. The townscape is dominated by four striking bell towers and still exudes a very special, romantic charm today. In the evening, after dinner, numerous cosy cafés in the winding alleys invite you to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
Today is all about the island of Rab. On a varied round trip, you will explore the island by bike and discover its diverse landscape and unique charm.
At lunchtime, your ship will be waiting for you in the harbour, right in front of the old town of Rab, ready to take you to the neighbouring island of Krk. On the way, you will stop at a secluded bay for a refreshing swim to cool off. You will then reach Krk, where you can spend the evening in the historic town of the same name and enjoy the Mediterranean flair.
Today's bike tour begins with a climb over the island's ridge, covered with fragrant macchia, and leads you into a valley full of vineyards. The destination is the historic town of Vrbnik in the northeast of the island. Picturesquely situated on a cliff over 50 meters high and surrounded by vineyards, Vrbnik is considered the home of the famous Žlahtina wine. For those who love the extraordinary, the town has a special attraction in store: the second narrowest street in the world – a real highlight for explorers. Afterwards, you cycle across the island – through unspoilt villages, shady forests and lush green landscapes – until Omišalj comes into view. On the way, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a soothing mud bath in Soline Bay.
In the evening, you will return on board, where you will spend the last night of your trip in the harbor of Omišalj. Your week on the water will come to an end in a relaxed atmosphere during a convivial get-together with the crew and tour guides.
Disembarkation in the morning by 9:00 a.m. and individual journey home or extension of your Croatia vacation.
Timetable and programme changes:
A Sail & Bike Tour always involves a bit of adventure: on this trip, only the embarkation and disembarkation harbours of Enkhuizen are 100% fixed in advance. The route to be travelled depends primarily on the weather and the tides and is determined from day to day. The route and the order of the individual stages are therefore always subject to change. The skipper and his crew discuss the possibilities with the guests on a daily basis and will do everything possible to offer you a varied mix of culture and nature. Let us surprise you!
SGR Guaranteefund:
For this trip, there is a fee of 5.00 euros per traveller for the SGR guarantee fund. This fee is mandatory for this trip and will be shown separately on the invoice.

Below you will find specific information about the Kvarner Bay trip by deluxe ship. If you have any further questions about this trip, simply give us a call: Tel.: +49 (0)6421 - 886890.
Arrival by plane
To travel in the Kvarner Bay, you can fly to Rijeka Airport, which, like the port of embarkation Omisalj, is on the island of Krk.
When booking your flight, please note that the ship from Omisalj usually departs at 3:00 p.m. and check-in is between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. If you want to book a flight that lands after 2 p.m., please contact us. If you don't get any flight connections to Rijeka, you can also fly to Zagreb Airport.
Arriving by car
To enter Croatia you need your driver's license, the vehicle registration document and the green insurance card for the vehicle. In Omisalj, we will be happy to organize a secure long-term parking space for you on a private property directly at the port, subject to prior reservation (prices on request, payable locally)
If you have arrived at the port by car, please ask one of the tour guides at the ships. There is no insurance in Croatia that insures your vehicle against theft and burglary in the parking spaces provided by us. Damage of this kind is only covered by the local comprehensive insurance. However, since the beginning of our travels (1998) we have not received any reports of damage.
Arrival by train
If you want to travel by train, please note that there is no direct train connection to Omisalj. However, there is a good connection with the night train from Munich to Rijeka. On the day of embarkation, a shared transfer from Rijeka train station to Omisalj can be booked. This only applies to the night train, which arrives in Rijeka around 9:30 a.m. A transfer bus will then be waiting at the train station (if reserved in advance) for the onward journey to Omisalj (approx. 45 minutes).
Requirements
The tour is designed exclusively for e-bike riders with a good basic fitness. The routes go up between 400 and 700 meters. The daily stages of 20-50 km lead through hilly and mountainous terrain and are cycled without time constraints. Instead of a bike tour, it is also possible to take a half or full day of swimming on the boat. All tours require a certain basic level of fitness and safe control of the bike.
Decide for yourself each day whether you want to cycle individually according to maps or join one of the two tour guides.
Available rental bikes
There are 11-speed ladies e-bikes with low entry available. The bikes are each equipped with an Ortlieb luggage bag. The tour is advertised as an e-bike tour and can therefore only be booked with an e-bike.
Bringing your own e-bike is not possible due to safety regulations on the ships and to protect the health of the tour guides.
Catering
The accompanying cook is a member of the crew and prepares an extensive breakfast and one to two hot meals every day. Meals include 2 x full board and 5 x half board. Depending on the course of the tour, one or the other lunch meal can also consist of a packed lunch. The first meal begins with dinner on the day of embarkation and ends with breakfast on the day of disembarkation.
Children
Basically, we are of the opinion that only children with good stamina and a minimum age of 10 years can complete the bike tours on their own. Please note that e-bikes can only be provided from a height of 1.50 m. For smaller children we offer trailer bikes, child seats or a bicycle bungee for hire (prices on request).
Helmet obligation
Helmets are compulsory on our bike tours. Please bring your own well-fitting helmet. A limited number of rental helmets are available for adults (reservation required in advance!). Children's helmets must be brought along.
Extra costs that are not included in the tour price
Guaranteefund € 5.00 per person, will be shown separately on the invoice, flat rate for local taxes and drinking water on board (payable locally to the captain): €80.00 per adult or €40.00 per child up to and including 16 years.
7-day hotline service
If the bicycle chain has broken, flooding makes it impossible to continue your journey or other nasty surprises await you: we are available for you 7 days a week and will organize help as quickly as possible.
Passport and visa requirements
For EU citizens, there are no special passport or visa requirements and no health formalities to be considered for this trip.
Travel insurance
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance upon receipt of your travel confirmation in order to protect yourself against financial disadvantages in the event of travel cancellation, interruption of travel, illness or accident.
Velociped can withdraw from the tour twenty-one days before the starting date of the tour, at the latest, in case the minimum number of participants stated under the tour description is not attained. You will duly be informed without any delay in case of a withdrawal. Velociped will of course refund the paid tour price immediately. Please note our General Terms and Conditions.
