Arrival by plane

Arriving by plane is the fastest, cheapest and most convenient way to get to Dubrovnik or Split.

If your trip starts from Dubrovnik, the nearest airport is that of Dubrovnik. It is approx. 16 km from the Gruž city harbor. If you would like to take part in the guided city tour in Dubrovnik (4:30 PM) on the day of arrival, your flight should not land in Dubrovnik after 2:30 PM. If your trip starts in Split, Split Airport (SPU) is in the immediate vicinity (23km).

Flight offers can be researched and booked e.g. at:

Arrival by car

Munich – Salzburg (130 km), Salzburg – Villach (180 km), Villach – Ljubljana (100 km), Ljubljana – Rijeka (130 km): Autobahn after Ljubljana until exit Kozina, further on the road to Rijeka. From Rijeka to Split or Dubrovnik: along the main road to Senj, there turn towards the Autobahn to Split. Depending on the port of embarkation, follow the Autobahn to Split or Dubrovnik (360km or 550 km, approx. 4 hours or 6.5 hours).

Parking: You can park your car in one of the public guarded parking lots. In Dubrovnik you will find a long-term parking space at the city harbor Gruz, at the ferry terminal, approx, 28,00 EUR per day / car.

Individual transfer between Split airport and Split port, as well as between Gruž port in Dibrovnik and Dubrovnik airport on request.

The cycling stages require the participants to have a certain level of fitness, which regular cyclists usually have. The routes go up between 400 - 700 meters. The daily stages of 30 - 60 km lead through hilly and mountainous terrain and are cycled without time pressure. Steeper or longer gradients can also be mastered, but pushing is definitely allowed. Instead of a bike tour, you can also spend half a day or a whole day on the ship. Please note that helmets are compulsory on the bike tours! Please bring your own well fitting helmet. A limited number of rental helmets are available on board, but must be reserved in advance.

Basically, on our e-bike & boat trips there is also the possibility to take part in the day tours with a trekking bike. However, the guided group pace is based on the e-bike riders. Anyone who rides a trekking bike on an e-bike trip should not be surprised at the faster basic speed. Trekking cyclists should also have the necessary condition to ride at this speed. Thank you for your understanding.

Available rental bikes

There are 11-gear women's e-bikes with a low entry, as well as 9-gear unisex hybrid touring bikes available (please state your preference in the comments and questions box when booking). Likewise 24-speed trekking bikes as women's and men's bikes. Since the trip is an e-bike tour, the group pace is adapted to the e-bike riders, so we recommend renting e-bikes.

The bikes are each equipped with an Ortlieb pannier.

The accompanying cook is a member of the crew and prepares an extensive breakfast and one or two warm meals every day. Meals include 2 x full board and 5 x half board. Meals begin with dinner on the day of embarkation and end with breakfast on the day of disembarkation.

If the cabins are occupied by three, we grant a third person (e.g. a child) a 50% discount on the basic tour price. Children up to and including 16 years of age receive a discount of 25% on the basic tour price (cannot be combined with the 50% discount).

We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.20 m (4 ft.) for hybrid bicycles and 1.50 m (4.5 ft.) for e-bikes. There is a helmet duty for all children up to age 16 in Croatia.

Itinerary changes

We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements. If necessary the tour will be operated in reverse.
