From Saarbrücken to Trier on the Moselle

Look forward to the Saar Cycle Route, which was awarded 4 stars by ADFC Germany in December 2009, making it a very enjoyable route for cyclists. From Saarbrücken, the cycle route runs almost continuously close to the river until the Saar flows into the Moselle. The last section from Konz to Trier also runs on cycle paths, but now on the Moselle Cycle Route. You are sure to be impressed by the UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte, the impressive Saar Loop, pretty Mettlach and Saarburg with its spectacular waterfall. The blue Saar Cycle Route logo marks the entire route in both directions, so you can enjoy your cycle tour comfortably and without any problems finding your way.
