A wide range of cycling options
The river landscapes of the Havel, Oder, and Spree, the beautiful Spreewald, and the route for the Berlin-Usedom bike and boat trip via Oranienburg, past the ship lift in Niederfinow to the Oder, and on to the Baltic Sea coast to the island of Usedom.
The city of Berlin and its surrounding area offer cyclists a wealth of opportunities for a wonderful cycling holiday. Here, nature and culture can be combined in a unique way on a bike. “Where was the Berlin Wall actually located?” many young people ask today. A bike tour along the Mauerradweg (Wall Cycle Route) is a journey through Germany's recent history, as the cycle path runs exactly where the Wall stood until 1989. The bike tours through Berlin's city center take you past classic sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, the boulevard “Unter den Linden,” the Reichstag, and Potsdamer Platz. On the outskirts of Berlin, the Havel and Spree rivers and many bathing lakes attract visitors with their idyllic riverside paths. On the grand Berlin tour, you will discover the Wannsee, Werbellinsee, Schermützelsee, and Müggelsee lakes. They all offer fantastic places to take a break on our route in the many small cafes on the shore and in nice restaurants with a direct view of the lake. The Spreewald in the south of Berlin is a particular attraction. With its countless waterways, typical pretty wooden bridges, and idyllic villages such as Lübbenau and Schlepzig, it is waiting to be discovered. The bike tours lead through the extensive network of streams that used to completely replace the roads in the Spreewald.
