From Flensburg to Usedom

Look forward to the holiday paradise of the German Baltic Sea and explore the Baltic Sea coast on quiet cycle paths. From Flensburg in the far north of Germany, the Baltic Sea Cycle Route leads to Lübeck with uniform signage. From Travemünde to Usedom, the cycle path is still well signposted, but there is no continuous cycle path along the coast; instead, the route often leads through the beautiful inland countryside. The entire Baltic Sea Cycle Route from Flensburg to Usedom is approximately 900 km long, with most of the route taking you along quiet, small country roads, easily navigable forest and field paths, and asphalt or water-bound cycle paths. No matter which section of the route you choose, a cycle tour along the Baltic Sea coast is great fun. Starting in Flensburg, a visit to the historic harbour town beckons, while famous Baltic resorts such as Damp Heiligenhafen and Timmendorfer Strand invite you to take a stroll. Marvel at the unique herring fences in Kappeln and the submarine in Laboe. The cycle path takes you to the heart of the cities of Kiel, Lübeck, Stralsund and Greifswald, all of which offer maritime flair and interesting museums. The Baltic Sea Cycle Route also does itself proud on the islands of Hiddensee, Rügen and Usedom with their fantastic seaside resorts.
