Tour
Your journey begins with your individual arrival in Rijeka. You will board the ship at the port by 12:00 noon at the latest, where you will be warmly welcomed by your tour guide. Once all guests have boarded, the ship will weigh anchor in the afternoon and sail to the nearby island of Krk. Here you will hop on your bikes and embark on your first bike tour: a varied circular route will take you through the scenic surroundings directly to the town of Krk, the lively capital of the island, where Mediterranean flair and historic alleys await you.
After breakfast, you will set off on your bike into the interior of the island and first reach Dobrinj. From there, you will continue to Vrbnik, a small town spectacularly perched on a cliff above the east coast. The climb up there is challenging, but you will be rewarded with magnificent views. Vrbnik is surrounded by vineyards where the famous “Žlahtina” wine is grown. If you like, you can stop for lunch at a traditional konoba. Afterwards, you cycle back towards the town of Krk, where your ship is already waiting for you in the harbor.
After a short crossing, you will reach the island of Rab. Your bike tour will first take you via Barbat to Pudarica Bay and then back to the town of Rab. There, your ship will be waiting for you in front of the impressive backdrop of the old town with its four striking bell towers, ready to serve you lunch. In the afternoon, you will cycle to the extensive Kalifront Forest Park, which impresses with ancient holm oaks, some of which are over 1,000 years old. A break at the idyllic “Love Bay” offers an opportunity to relax before you cycle back to Rab. In the evening, you will take part in a guided tour of the town and then have the opportunity to end the day in one of the cozy restaurants.
After a short boat trip of around 30 minutes, you will reach Lun, the northernmost point of the island of Pag. The landscape could hardly be more contrasting: barren and rocky like a lunar landscape on one side, green and covered with fragrant herbs on the other. Numerous sheep graze here, and their milk is used to make the famous Pag cheese. The bike ride continues to Novalja, the lively main town in the north of the island, where you will take a break. Back on board, you will enjoy lunch before the ship sails into an idyllic bay – perfect for a refreshing dip in the Adriatic Sea. Afterwards, the captain will head for the islands of Olib or Ilovik, where you will spend the night. The evening is rounded off with a festive Captain's Dinner on board.
Today, the ship will take you to the green island of Lošinj, known for its mild climate, fragrant pine forests, and long tradition as a health resort. Your bike tour begins in the port of Mali Lošinj and takes you through the island's diverse natural landscape. You will first cycle along the coast around Čikat Bay and continue through Sunčana Uvala (“Sunny Bay”) to the picturesque harbor town of Veli Lošinj. Then it's back to Mali Lošinj, where you can enjoy the evening with an individual dinner in one of the numerous restaurants.
Today you will get to know two islands at once - thanks to the lift bridge, you can cycle from Lošinj to Osor on the island of Cres, where a wonderful cycle tour via Belej and Vrana to Cres town, the island capital of the same name, awaits you. You have the afternoon at leisure, for example to explore one of the beaches in the area or the town of Cres.
On your last day on the bike, you cycle from the harbour along the sea to the green lantern on the south side of the entrance to the bay of Cres. You then cycle through the town to the red lantern on the north side of the entrance and along the sea back to the ship. Lunch is served on board in Cres. The ship then leaves the harbour of Cres and heads for a bay in the north of the island. There you can take another long swim in the blue Adriatic Sea before the ship takes you back to Rijeka.
Today your Rad&Schiff journey through the Kvarner Bay ends after breakfast. Let the kitchen crew spoil you one last time before the departure until 9:00 am. Afterwards you start your individual journey home or transfer to the airport.
The planned route is always subject to possible changes due to nautical, meteorological or organisational reasons. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water, bad weather or construction work, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety. This is not a legally valid reason for cancelling the trip free of charge. The same applies in the event of officially ordered lock or bridge repairs or in the event of engine or propulsion damage to the ship through no fault of the captain.
As your ship usually sails to the next harbour on the same day, your time frame for your own activities and sightseeing is limited. On some bridges, the clearance height is so low that the sun deck is closed for your safety.
