tour highlights
Rijeka
Located at the northern end of the famous Kvarner Bay, the city of Rijeka is the perfect starting point for your bike&ship trip through the Kvarner Bay. Besides a pretty old town with historical sights, Rijeka has a medieval fortress and several beautiful promenades by the sea to offer. The city's lively pedestrian zone is called Korzo. During the day you can stroll through stores and boutiques, and in the evening the Korzo turns into the longest stage in the port city, where artists, musicians and performers provide atmospheric entertainment. Above the city on a hill towers a former fortress, the castle Trsat. Once it was an important fortification for defense purposes. A well-preserved courtyard with a fountain is a popular venue for open-air theater and concert performances in the summer. The Molo Longo, more than 1,707 meters long, is the breakwater of the harbor basin. The promenade along the harbor basin is a popular promenade.
Island Krk
Krk is the largest island in the Adriatic Sea. It is also called Insula Aurea, that is the Golden Island. Krk is known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters, but also for its karst landscapes and lush forests. The wine region of Krk is known for the white wine variety Zlahtina, traditionally grown in the municipality of Vrbnik.
Island Rab
The island of Rab is one of the best known and most popular destinations for Germans and Austrians, offering amazing scenic diversity, beautiful beaches, cultural monuments from the pre-Roman period and much more.
Island Pag
The island of Pag is probably the most contrasting island in Croatia. Nowhere else in Croatia do scenic extremes meet so harshly. It is a place that polarizes people. It can be seen as the Croatian answer to Lanzarote. Approaching the island from the mainland, one is inevitably reminded of a lunar landscape. Hardly a shrub can be seen. Nothing but bare, sand-colored rocks. However, once you have entered the island and crossed the first mountain, you will see many smaller and larger towns, meadows, reed beds, fields and olive groves. The town of Pag mainly known for its sheep cheese, paski sir and lace sewing.
Island Losinj
On the island you can find subtropical vegetation with palm trees, pine trees, agaves, oleander, citrus trees, sage and lavender. With over 2500 hours of sunshine a year, which corresponds to about 300 cloudless or cloudless days, Losinj is one of the sunniest places in Europe.
Island and town of Cres
The picturesque island of Cres in the Kvarner Bay with its natural rocky bays, inviting pebble beaches and charming fishing villages is one of the most popular vacation destinations in Croatia. Together with the neighboring island of Krk, Cres is the largest island in the Adriatic. The northern part of the island is covered with steep and high cliffs as well as dense oak forests and natural habitat of the protected bird species, griffon vultures. Due to these features, this destination is an ideal destination for adventure, research and sports vacations. The southern part knows how to delight with diverse beaches, bays and Mediterranean vegetation. The eponymous town of Cres is nestled in a protected bay in the northern part of the island and offers a historic town center, as well as a beautiful coastline, culinary and cultural.
