Team event on two wheels a trip into the blue

Let’s go – with a quick stop along the way

Once all the bikes are perfectly adjusted, our route takes us first… to the post office.
The last official business of the day: posting the day’s mail

But then it’s time: hop on the bike and let the fun begin!
We set off in glorious sunshine – and not far away, the first ice cream parlour was already beckoning.
Of course, we can’t resist and stop for an ice cream straight after the first few kilometres.

Springtime in the Marburg countryside

Refreshed and ready to go, we continue through the beautiful Marburg countryside.
Blooming meadows, vast fields and perfectly maintained cycle paths make the ride a real pleasure.

We cycle past paddocks, over small level crossings and through charming villages that make our region so special.

Then comes the final stretch. And it’s a real challenge – a steep climb! Luckily, we’re all on e-bikes; otherwise, one or two of us might have had to push for a bit. Once we reach the top, it’s clear: we’ve reached the destination of our journey into the blue!

Dinner at the Waldschlösschen in Dagobertshausen

Our tour takes us to Dagobertshausen and the Waldschlösschen restaurant – idyllically situated, surrounded by asparagus fields and boasting a truly special atmosphere.

Perfect timing: the asparagus harvest began just the day before – so we can already enjoy the first fresh asparagus of the season.

Over a refreshing aperitif and delicious food, many lovely conversations take place – completely relaxed and far removed from the daily grind.

Back to Marburg – just let it roll

Well-fed and in high spirits, we set off on our return journey. Now it’s time to let it roll. The route takes us downhill back towards Marburg – and if you’re not rushing along, you might even spot a deer in a meadow. Passing the famous Elisabethkirche and the railway station, we finally arrive back at our office.

Our conclusion

A perfect day on a bike! Our annual team event is always something really special.
Riding together, testing our new e-bikes, exploring our local area – all whilst enjoying sunshine and good food. That’s exactly what Velociped is all about.
