The MS Casanova sails under the Swiss flag. The furnishing style is reminiscent of rococo with playful details and reproduced paintings by famous artists. The 48 outside cabins are approx. 12 m² in size and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe (deposit required), minibar and adjustable air conditioning. The 22 cabins on the main deck are equipped with panoramic windows that cannot be opened. The 2-bed Deluxe cabins are slightly more spacious than the Standard cabins.

All 26 cabins on the upper deck are equipped with a French balcony. The floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened. In the ECO cabins, which are located at the rear of the ship, engine and generator noises are audible. The panorama saloon invites you to relax with a glass of wine or a cocktail, while breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant. On the sun deck, which can be reached via a steep staircase and is equipped with sun loungers and seating, you can relax after the day's excursions.

Tour

Your individual arrival and embarkation are from 4:00 p.m. in Frankfurt am Main. At 5:00 p.m., you will set sail and your floating hotel will take you to Aschaffenburg. This city lies at the foot of the Spessart mountains and, with its approximately 70,000 inhabitants, offers a tranquil atmosphere. Along the Main River, Aschaffenburg boasts a variety of magnificent buildings. Particularly noteworthy is Johannisburg Castle, an imposing Renaissance building made of red sandstone, which is one of the most important and beautiful in Germany.

Until just before Bürgstadt/Miltenberg, you have the option of cycling on either the right or left bank of the Main. The floodplain forest between Nilkheim and Niedernheim offers a pleasant cycling route in summer. From Kleinwallstadt to Erlenbach, you will be accompanied by the “Planet Cycle Path,” which provides information about astronomical objects. Along the Main, you will find numerous benches and rest areas that are ideal for taking a break or even going for a swim.
Your ship is anchored today in Freudenberg, only about 10 km from Miltenberg. On a spur of the Franconian Odenwald, Freudenburg Castle rises high above the Main and the town of Freudenberg, offering an impressive sight.

While you enjoy a leisurely breakfast, the MS ALLURE will transport you to Wertheim. In this town, which has retained its charm as an old Franconian small town, you will begin today's bike tour through the characteristic Main landscape. The route to Lohr offers numerous sights, including the impressive old town of Lohr with its historic buildings and traditional Franconian half-timbered style.

Early in the morning, you will continue your journey by boat, passing Gemünden and arriving in Karlstadt, where you will switch to your bicycles. Explore the more than 800-year-old buildings in the old town, surrounded by walls, towers, and gates. Then cycle leisurely to Würzburg, where you will meet up with the MS Casanova again in the afternoon. Take the opportunity to visit the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, or enjoy the magnificent view from the Marienberg Fortress.

Your bike tour takes you along the Main Cycle Route from Würzburg through the fertile landscape of the Ochsenfurther Gau to Ochsenfurt. Here you can admire the remarkable Lanzentürmchen tower. The route continues through the historic town of Marktbreit, which impresses with its magnificent town houses, until you reach Kitzingen. Wine culture takes center stage in this town, inviting you to enjoy a delightful exploration.

Depending on your berth confirmation, your destination for today is either Kitzingen or Marktbreit. If you stay overnight in Marktbreit, your bike tour will be shortened by approx. 10 km.

Today, you will cycle via Schwarzach am Main to the pretty wine village of Volkach. If you would like to shorten the cycle tour, you also have the option of leaving the ship in Volkach. In Volkach, we recommend a visit to the pilgrimage church of St. Maria im Weingarten, which towers above the town. Then continue your journey to Fahr, where you will be greeted by a welcome sign in the shape of a Bocksbeutel wine bottle. The route continues along the Volkacher Mainschleife, where the valley narrows and the vineyards become more numerous, until you finally reach Schweinfurt.

In the morning, you will continue your journey by boat and arrive in Haßfurt. From there, you will cycle on via Zeil am Main, which is located exactly at the intersection between wine and beer Franconia, until you finally reach Bamberg. This city was built on seven hills and is often called the “Franconian Rome” because of this feature. You will have the opportunity to experience the fascination of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Particularly worth seeing is the fishermen's quarter “Little Venice,” a row of 17th-century houses. A visit to Bamberg is not complete without a cold beer. The city still has eleven independent breweries that keep the beer tradition alive.

Disembarkation after breakfast by 9:00 a.m. and individual journey home.

The planned route is always subject to possible changes due to nautical, meteorological or organisational reasons. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water, bad weather or construction work, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety. This is not a legally valid reason for cancelling the trip free of charge. The same applies in the event of officially ordered lock or bridge repairs or in the event of engine or propulsion damage to the ship through no fault of the captain.

As your ship usually sails to the next harbour on the same day, your time frame for your own activities and sightseeing is limited. On some bridges, the clearance height is so low that the sun deck is closed for your safety.
