Cycle path, rural roads and small side streets (only a few short pieces have to be biked on roads with more traffic) bring you not only to lakes Wainger See, Chiemsee and Königssee but also in the picturesque spa town of Bad Reichenhall with perhaps the most beautiful Saline in the world and to Berchtesgaden where people made already holiday when the term holiday was not yet invented. What was once only reserved for the nobility, today enjoy cyclists from around the world.
1. day Salzburg / Arrival
The city of Salzburg offers a lot of charm and high-profile landmarks, because since 1997 Salzburg's Old Town and the Schoenbrunn Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
2. day Waging 47 km
Today, you spend a wonderful first day on the bike. Relaxed you cycle along the Salzach and finally west to the lake 'Waginger See', the warmest lake in Upper Bavaria. Enjoy bathing in fresh greenish-blue sparkling water and enjoy this picturesque region. On the road luring numerous beer gardens to with delicious snacks and regional delicacies.
3. day Chiemsee 22 - 34 km
A real vacation. Hardly in the saddle, it is already in front of you: the Chiemsee, the famous "Bavarian Sea". Enjoy the afternoon on the lake with views of the Chiemgau Alps. Double overnight stay in Chieming / surrounding area or in Übersee.
4. day Chiemsee round trip, 51 km
This morning you cycle beautifully along the Chiemsee shore. Enjoy the diverse flora and fauna and let yourself fall under the spell of the bright blue Chiemsee. In Seebruck a leisurely stroll through the beautiful lakeside promenade is a must. Discover the Chiemsee with all its facets. It is worth taking a boat trip to the both islands with men's and women's island.
5. day Inzell 34 - 46 km
A varied bike ride through the scenic foothills of the Alps is straight ahead. You cycle through sunlit forests, past lush meadows and rustic farmhouses to the famous nature reserve 'Inzeller Moor'.
6. day Berchtesgaden, 45 km
Today you will experience pure Bavaria. Look forward to the historic salt pans and the spa town Bad Reichenhall, which was known by saline extraction across borders. About 70 bubbling fountains invite you to stay, as well as cozy places, idyllic parks in the city center, the spa gardens and the Royal Gradierhaus. After rewarding break you continue to Berchtesgaden, where high above the city, the impressive panorama of the Watzmann arises. Look forward to the historical market with colorful town houses, collegiate church, magnificent castle and the pilgrimage church of Maria Gern.
7. day Königssee - Salzburg 28 - 40 km
You're spoiled for choice: a worthwhile detour the Königssee with its emerald waters and the famous pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomäan (+ 12 km), or cycle fast back to the picturesque and famous city of Salzburg.
8. day Salzburg/ departure
We can arrange an extension for you, so, the day before you can listen in peace to the echo of Königsee.

Arrival by train
Salzburg is easy to reach by train. The arrival hotels are located up to 3 km from the train station, so you can reach them by taxi easily.
Parking is subject to availability, ca. € 8,00 - € 10,00 per day / car (partially for free). Some hotels offer a parking space even throughout the trip (for a fee). Alternatively, you can park in the Linzergassengarage, at Mirabellparkplatz or in the Mirabellgarage.
Characteristics of the cycle paths
The tour is easy to navigate, but it is also necessary to use sections with more hilly sections. It is mostly used on bicycle and economic routes and on secondary roads (only a few short sections on busy roads).

For EU citizens, there are no special passport or visa requirements and no health formalities to be considered for this trip.
The tour price already includes the statutory insolvency insurance. In addition, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance upon receipt of your travel confirmation in order to protect yourself against financial disadvantages in the event of travel cancellation, interruption of travel, illness or accident.

The landscape in the nature reserve Seeoner Seen is characterized by the formation in the last ice age: glaciers furrowed the surface, left rock bumps and ice blocks. Bad Reichenhall, Alte Saline
The "Alte Saline" under the picturesque castle Gruttenstein is embedded in the historical core of the city Bad Reichenhall. It was built in 1834 by King Ludwig I, and was an industrial complex, modern and representative. The historical sites and the integrated Salzmuseum are open to the public for guided tours.
In Berchtesgaden, you can stroll past the Royal Palace, the splendid town houses, charming shops and inviting inns, or take a salt-time journey underneath the mine, while the Kehlsteinhaus offers a unique view of the Berchtesgadener as well as the Salzburger Land and the fascination of the mountains Experience.
