Tour
Arrive early, because Freiburg has a lot to offer. Whether you enjoy a stroll through the historic old town to discover the culture and history of the city, linger in one of the many cafés and cozy pubs, or indulge in the Baden cuisine and hospitality.
Today you cycle first through the beautiful Dreisam valley to Kirchzarten. There you will board the train. You can look forward to a wonderful train ride over the Himmelreich through the narrow Höllental up to Hinterzarten. Afterwards you will cycle downhill to the famous Titisee. Via Lenzkirch you finally cycle to Bonndorf to your hotel.
What a wonderful day for cycling. On the plateau, you cycle down into the Wutach Valley with its impressive railway bridge. Marvel at the elaborately designed Sauschwänzlebahn railway with its museum operation before following the rustic Wutach River to Waldshut-Tiengen, where it flows into the Upper Rhine.
Today, a beautiful cycle path will take you quickly through Laufenburg with its historic old town to the trumpeter town of Bad Säckingen. Stroll through the historic town and marvel at one of the longest covered wooden bridges in Europe. The young Rhine accompanies you further to Rheinfelden, here you can shorten the stage by taking the train the rest of the way to beautiful Basel (not included, approx. EUR 8,- incl. bike). If you decide to continue by bike, a visit to the Roman fort Augusta Raurica is worthwhile. At the end of the stage you can look forward to the old bishop's town of Basel with its closed medieval townscape.
What an experience. Today you will pass the longest bicycle and pedestrian bridge in the world. Look forward to this bridge in the 3-country corner at the bend of the Rhine. In the spa town of Bad Bellingen, the thermal baths will entice you to enjoy an extraordinary refreshment before you leave the Rhine at Neuenburg. You will roll along magnificent bike paths through vineyards, meadows and valleys. A magnificent, colorful landscape, full of nature's fruits and spoiled by the sun, awaits you. Vineyards and orchards line your path.
Today you cycle through the wine villages of the famous Markgräflerland. Enjoy the magnificent views, with the majestic Black Forest on your right and the Vosges Mountains in the distance on your left. Look forward to Freiburg, which is considered the sunniest and warmest city in Germany, visit the worth seeing cathedral, an architectural masterpiece of the Gothic period, and follow the Bächle, the small water channels that run through the old town.
After breakfast, your bike tour through the southern Black Forest comes to an end. We would be happy to extend your stay in this magnificent city.
