Tour
Individual arrival in Zurich. Allow enough time to explore Zurich and start your cycling tour relaxed.
After breakfast, hop on your bike and head out of town, past small suburbs, to Kilchberg, home to Lindt & Sprüngli, one of the world's most famous chocolate brands. On a tour of the chocolateria, you will experience the world of chocolate with all your senses. With the seductive scent of chocolate in your nose, you will then cycle through the moraine landscape of Hirzel and roll leisurely down to Pfäffikon. A ride over the dam to Rapperswil is the perfect end to your tour.
You start the day with a train ride from Rapperswil to Einsiedeln. Once there, be sure to take a detour to the world-famous monastery. Then continue along the marshy shores of Lake Sihl and up to the Iberegg Pass. The striking peak of the Großer Mythen, often referred to as the “Matterhorn of Central Switzerland,” accompanies you on your journey to the shores of Lake Lucerne.
The first part of today's stage is a picturesque boat trip across Lake Lucerne. You will travel by boat from Brunnen to Beckenried on the opposite shore of the lake. From there, you will cycle past the Pilatus Works airfield and reach the lake again at Stansstad. The route continues along the lake shore on a scenic route across the Kastanienbaum peninsula to the center of Lucerne.
Today's stage is almost flat and connects the two cities of Lucerne and Zug. You will first follow the course of the Reuss River on an attractive bike path, cycling leisurely along the riverbank. Root is worth a stop: here you will find the world of chocolate maker Aeschbach, where you can learn about the art of chocolate making and, of course, sample some delicious specialties. Finally, you will reach Zug, whose old town will enchant you with its historic buildings, romantic alleys, and lively squares. You can end the day along the well-maintained promenade of Lake Zug, letting your gaze wander over the water and the surrounding mountains - a perfect end to an enjoyable stage.
Your final stage takes you to Sihlwald Nature Park - a small natural idyll just outside Zurich. But before you start pedaling, it's worth taking a stroll along the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse. Then hop on your bike one last time and enjoy the ride through this green oasis.
Unfortunately, your cycling tour on the trail of Swiss chocolate has come to an end and it's time to make your individual journey home. We would be happy to extend your stay in Zurich.

Condition of the cycle path
