This varied landscape in northern Germany is best explored by bike. Look forward to many small rivers (the Seeve, the Luthe, the Ilmenau, the Wümme, the Aller) and tiny lakes, which offer a wonderful contrast to the blooming heath and lush green forests. Your cycle tour mostly takes you along separate cycle paths and small side roads. Along the route are places worth seeing such as Winsen, the salt and Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, Uelzen with its Hundertwasser railway station and charming heathland villages such as Amelinghausen and Schneverdingen.
