from Gersfeld in the Rhön to Hann. Münden, where the Fulda and Werra rivers join to form the Weser.

This cycle tour starts at an altitude of 950 metres in the middle of the Rhön mountains on the Wasserkuppe, which offers fantastic views. The Fulda Cycle Route takes you on a wonderful descent to Fulda, where you should definitely visit the Baroque quarter and the cathedral. The entire route is well signposted. Passing the castle town of Schlitz, you cycle along the young Fulda river to the festival town of Bad Hersfeld. Enjoy a warm summer evening and treat yourself to some worthwhile festival tickets. Cycling sometimes on the right, sometimes on the left bank of the Fulda, you follow the mostly asphalted Fulda Cycle Route to Rotenburg, which is extremely charming with its many half-timbered houses. Another highlight is the half-timbered town of Melsungen, where you should take a moment to admire the half-timbered town hall in particular. The Fulda winds its way through a few wide bends before flowing through the Documenta city of Kassel. The cycle path takes you through the Karlsauen directly past the Orangery. The Fulda Cycle Path then leads you to the pretty town of Hann. Münden, where the Fulda and Werra rivers join to form the Weser.
