From Oldenburg to the German North Sea coast

Cycling is really enjoyable in the completely flat East Frisia region in northern Germany. With its network of cycle paths covering around 3,500 kilometres, East Frisia is considered a cyclist's paradise. All routes are also suitable for people who don't cycle very often. East Frisia's cycle paths mostly run along small, well-paved roads.
Discover the pretty cycling town of Oldenburg, the spa town of Bad Zwischenahn, the cosy town of Emden on the Ems-Jade Canal and, of course, the fantastic North Sea coast with its white sandy beaches and colourful beach chairs. The route leads from Oldenburg through varied landscapes of marsh, moor and geest. Look forward to the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that enchants all holidaymakers. Enjoy the flat cycle paths past lush, colourful rhododendron groves, marvel at romantic castle parks and lovingly designed cottage gardens. As varied as the landscape is, the cycle paths in East Frisia will take you to every destination. Even on the East Frisian islands such as Borkum, Norderney and Langeoog, you don't have to do without first-class cycle paths.
