Elbe, Spree and Neisse

Round trip starting in Dresden through Lower Lusatia to the Neisse, the border river between Germany and Poland, and continuing from Görlitz through Upper Lusatia via Bautzen back to the Elbe in Dresden.
Although there is no continuously signposted cycle path on this round trip, your cycle tours will take you along various regional and interregional cycle paths. The start and end point of your cycling tour is Dresden on the Elbe Cycle Route, where the Semper Opera House, Zwinger Palace, Frauenkirche and many museums await you. You will cycle through Europe's largest artificial water landscape, the Lusatian Lake District, to Spremberg with its historic old town. Culture is really important on these cycling tours. Look forward to the Fürst-Pückler Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Bad Muskau on the Oder-Neisse Cycle Route and the historic old town of Görlitz, which, with its numerous Baroque, late Gothic and Renaissance houses, is considered the largest monument in the state. But Bautzen also offers plenty of culture: tower upon tower, the old city wall and a historic city centre are all waiting to be explored. The last cycle tour of your round trip takes you through the beautiful Elbe Sandstone Mountains to the Bastei with its spectacular rock bridge and back to the Elbe Cycle Route. From here, the route leads directly along the Elbe via Pirna, the Blue Wonder and Pillnitz Castle back to Dresden.
