Highlights

Stuttgart / Bad Canstatt
Stuttgart attracts visitors with its exciting contrasts between tradition and modernity. In addition to the impressive Schlossplatz square with the New Palace, the renowned Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums are particular highlights of the city. In the Bad Cannstatt district, the historic old town, the mineral baths – the second largest in Europe – and the Wilhelma Zoological and Botanical Garden paradise invite visitors to enjoy unforgettable experiences.

Bad Wimpfen
Bad Wimpfen enchants visitors with its picturesque old town full of half-timbered houses and medieval flair. Particularly worth seeing are the Blue Tower, the town's landmark, and the Stauferpfalz, which was once an imperial residence. Narrow streets, historic squares and cosy wine taverns invite you to stroll and linger.

Heidelberg
The landmark of the city of Heidelberg is located about 70 metres above the Neckar River on the slope of its local mountain, the Königstuhl. The ruins of the electoral palace are among the most impressive sights you can marvel at on a trip to Germany.
Churches and monasteries, the botanical garden, the zoo and a real bridge monkey are waiting to be discovered. And no one who has taken a walk along the Philosophenweg will ever forget the view of the river, city and castle from there.

Mannheim
Mannheim, the ‘city of squares’, impresses with its unique chessboard-like layout and numerous sights. The baroque Mannheim Palace is one of the largest palace complexes in Europe and, together with the water tower, the city's landmark, forms its heart. In the lively squares, shops, cafés and museums such as the Kunsthalle or the Technoseum invite you to explore.

Wine region Rheinhessen
Rheinhessen, also known as the ‘land of a thousand hills’, is considered the sunniest and largest wine-growing region in Germany.

The MS Casanova sails under the Swiss flag. The furnishing style is reminiscent of rococo with playful details and reproduced paintings by famous artists. The 48 outside cabins are approx. 12 m² in size and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe (deposit required), minibar and adjustable air conditioning. The 22 cabins on the main deck are equipped with panoramic windows that cannot be opened. The 2-bed Deluxe cabins are slightly more spacious than the Standard cabins.

All 26 cabins on the upper deck are equipped with a French balcony. The floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened. In the ECO cabins, which are located at the rear of the ship, engine and generator noises are audible. The panorama saloon invites you to relax with a glass of wine or a cocktail, while breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant. On the sun deck, which can be reached via a steep staircase and is equipped with sun loungers and seating, you can relax after the day's excursions.

Tour

It is worth arriving early in Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt, as the capital of Baden-Württemberg has a lot to offer. Boarding takes place at 3 p.m. At 5 p.m., the MS Casanova departs and, while you enjoy your evening on board, your ship will take you to Lauffen.

You can take it easy on your first day of cycling. Spend the morning strolling through Lauffen, a traditional wine-growing town. Follow the Neckar River on well-maintained cycle paths through lovely river valleys, past sunny vineyards and charming wine-growing villages. Along the way, small wine villages with their rustic wine taverns and inviting restaurants invite you to take a pleasant break.

After breakfast, your bike tour takes you to the traditional Staufer town of Eberbach. Historic buildings, an atmospheric old town and fortified walls give the town a distinctive flair, where history and modernity come together harmoniously. Those who feel up to it can then hike a section of the Neckarsteig trail towards Katzenbuckel (approx. 6 km to the summit, around 650 metres of elevation gain). Alternatively, the idyllic Neckar promenade invites you to take a relaxing stroll.

Today, the route takes you via Hirschhorn and Neckarsteinach through the Odenwald forest to Heidelberg. The imposing castle ruins can be seen from afar, towering high above the old town. Once you arrive in Heidelberg, the famous Old Bridge made of sandstone, narrow streets and idyllic squares invite you to stroll around. A special tip: climb up to the castle and enjoy the magnificent view over the city and the Neckar Valley from the Scheffel Terrace.

On your way along the picturesque Neckar River, you will first come to the Roman town of Ladenburg with its historic old town, which is well worth seeing. It is worth making a detour before you pass through the grid-pattern city of Mannheim, where the Neckar and Rhine rivers converge. Today's stage takes you through a varied landscape where industry and nature alternate. Finally, you will reach Worms, the city of the Nibelungs, where history comes alive at every turn and there are numerous exciting discoveries to be made.

Follow the Rhine Cycle Route along the river to Nierstein. With around 1,000 hectares of vineyards, the town is the largest wine-growing community on the Rhine. A stroll through the historic town centre with its medieval market square and impressive noble houses is definitely worthwhile. You may even have the opportunity to enjoy a little wine tasting - the perfect end to an enjoyable stage. In the early evening, your ship will depart from Nierstein and take you to Mainz during dinner.

At the end of your Three Rivers Tour, you will reach the third river: the Main. From the mouth of the river, follow the Main Cycle Route, which will take you through the Schwanheimer Düne nature reserve to the lively metropolis of Frankfurt. The city combines cosmopolitan expansiveness with warm hospitality and blends tradition and modernity in a fascinating way. Every alleyway and every stretch of riverbank has its own story to tell. Frankfurt is much more than just its famous skyline – it is a place full of culture, diversity and discoveries.

Disembarkation after breakfast by 9 a.m. and individual journey home.

The planned route is always subject to possible changes due to nautical, meteorological or organisational reasons. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water, bad weather or construction work, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety. This is not a legally valid reason for cancelling the trip free of charge. The same applies in the event of officially ordered lock or bridge repairs or in the event of engine or propulsion damage to the ship through no fault of the captain.

As your ship usually sails to the next harbour on the same day, your time frame for your own activities and sightseeing is limited. On some bridges, the clearance height is so low that the sun deck is closed for your safety.
