Tour

Individual arrival to Kreuzlingen. Arrive early and take a walk to the castles and manor houses from the Middle Ages and early modern times.

After breakfast, hop on your bike and begin your journey along the shores of Lake Constance. Take a break in the lively lakeside town of Romanshorn or in Arbon. Visit the old town, which is well worth seeing, and the large castle. Afterwards, your destination for the day, Rorschach, is quickly reached and you can end the day relaxin

In the morning you pass the idyllic mouth of the Rhine with its wide reed beds. Through the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, where a lot of land has been gained by river corrections of the Alpine Rhine, you continue cycling to Buchs. The town is an important border station and the gateway to the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Today you cycle through the Bündner Herrschaft, the fertile garden and wine-growing region of Graubünden. The landscape lies on scree cones of slate and is the home of Heidi, Geißenpeter and Almöhi. The stage takes you to Chur, the oldest city north of the Alps. Look forward to dinner in one of the many restaurants in the city.

Let yourself be impressed by the wild gorge of the Vorderrhein, also called the "Grand Canyon of Switzerland" and by "Ob dem Wald", the Surselva, which is the largest Romansh-speaking area of the Grisons. At the end of the day you will reach the monastery village of Disentis, where you can recover from this royal stage.

Get on your bikes early to cycle first through the Hell Gorge and the Val Medel up to the top of the Lukmanier pass. This old pass road leads down into Ticino. You can shorten this steep part by bus (on your own). The rest of the day you cycle through the sunny valley Valle di Blenio past Olivone always slightly downhill. Through the cultivated landscape with fragrant flower meadows and terraced meadows you cycle to Biasca.

Even from a distance you have a view of the fortress of Bellinzona with its well-preserved city walls and three castles. After the sightseeing you continue cycling through the flat Magadino plain into the valley of the Ticino. On the last kilometers of your journey, follow the promenade to Lake Maggiore. Enjoy the view of the glittering lake and end the evening in Locarno on the shore.

Today your wonderful trip ends after breakfast at the hotel. We will be happy to reserve you additional nights in Locarno.
