The upper deck of Magnifique 4 features a spacious and tastefully decorated fully air-conditioned salon with bar and lounge area. Here you'll find large panoramic windows, a widescreen TV and information screens showing the ship's location in real time. Wi-Fi is also available. The cozy and inviting restaurant is separated from the kitchen by a glass wall, so you can see the talented chefs in action. Large glass doors open to a beautiful, partially covered teak sundeck furnished with tables and chairs. The foredeck has space for bicycles, while the upper deck has a hot tub and lounge chairs from which to enjoy the scenery.

On level with the bar and lounge area, the upper deck has 10 spacious suites, while the lower deck houses eight twin cabins and the dining room. The spacious suites of 16 m² each have two single beds placed side by side as a double bed (200 x 160 Cm), a comfortable sitting area and a large sliding window. The 12 m² twin cabins below deck have two single beds each and fixed portholes. All cabins have a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, as well as individually regulated air conditioning, flat screen satellite TV, mini-safe and hairdryer.

Embarkation and check-in take place in the early afternoon, where the crew will welcome you on board at 14:00. Afterwards, the bikes will be distributed and a short test lap is on the agenda. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to join an exploration tour of the charming historic old town of Bruges. Of course, there is also the possibility of an earlier arrival to spend more time in Bruges.

Your first bike tour today will take you through the picturesque Flemish countryside along the Ghent Canal to Ghent. The city center of Ghent impresses with its enchantingly illuminated streets and an impressive variety of historical architecture. The ship will dock for the night at the lock of Merelbeke, a suburb of Ghent. Before dinner is served, you will have the opportunity to join a guided canal tour of the historic city.

Nach dem Frühstück genießen Sie zunächst noch einige Zeit in Gent. Später am Vormittag werden Sie mit dem Fahrrad flussabwärts durch eine vielfältige Landschaft entlang des Gezeitenflusses Schelde nach Dendermonde fahren, das sich am Zusammenfluss der Flüsse Dender und Schelde befindet. Dieser Abschnitt der Tour stellt zweifellos ein Natur-Highlight dar.  Weiter geht es entweder per Rad oder Schiff. Ihr schwimmendes Hotel wird in St. Amands für die Übernachtung anlegen.

Today you continue your journey past Temse to Antwerp. Your destination today is Antwerp, a port city on the Scheldt River that became known as an important trading center for diamonds as early as the 15th century. Today, Antwerp is considered the world capital of the diamond trade. The city is also the birthplace of the famous painter Peter Paul Rubens. There are many highlights to discover in this fascinating city, including the Renaissance City Hall, the historic marketplace "Grote Markt", the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe Cathedral and the medieval stone castle.

This morning your ship continues its journey along the Scheldt-Rhine canal to reach the impressive Kreekrak locks. From here, your bike tour starts through the forest area "Wouwse Plantage", which will take you to Tholen. Once a small fishing village on an island in the Dutch province of Zeeland, Tholen has been connected to the mainland since the completion of the Delta Project. After your arrival in Tholen, the journey continues by ship through the impressive Volkerak lock system to Dordrecht. This city is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands and is your overnight stop today.

Today, at the beginning of the route, you will take the "Waterbus" to Alblasserdam for about 10 minutes.Within a short time you will reach by bike Kinderdijk, famous for its 19 windmills standing in a row (UNESCO World Heritage Site).These windmills were built in the 18th century to pump water out of the low-lying Alblasserwaard (a polder is a low-lying, drained area of land surrounded by dikes).Your bike ride continues via a stop in Schoonhoven until you reach Vianen - a small fortified town on the banks of the Lek River.Here the ship will dock for tonight, and after dinner you will have time to explore the surrounding area on a walking tour.

During breakfast, the ship sets course for Breukelen, where you disembark for your last bike ride.The route leads along the enchanting little river Vecht.Along its banks are numerous mansions, small castles and impressive country houses with extensive gardens down to the water.After passing Nieuwersluis, Loenen and Vreeland by bike, you will reach Nigtevecht.Here you have the opportunity to visit a traditional cheese farm. Your tour continues via Muiden to Amsterdam, where you will board the ship again and spend your last night in the port of Amsterdam.

Your journey ends in Amsterdam. After breakfast you will disembark the ship around 9:30 am and start your individual journey home.

Possible, necessary changes of the itinerary due to wind, weather and nautical peculiarities remain reserved to the skipper as captain of the ship at any time!

Arrival by train

You arrive in Bruges at Stationsplein, the main train station. From there the mooring is not far away!

Current DB timetable information can be found very conveniently at www.bahn.de.

Arrival by car

The ship's berth is in Bruges near the central station.
If you are arriving by car, we recommend that you first drive to the ship's dock and drop off your luggage and, if necessary, your bicycles. Afterwards we recommend to use one of the indicated parking facilities.

You will receive detailed information about the location of the ship and other information with the detailed travel documents two weeks before the start of your trip.

Parking in Bruges

Buiten Begijnenvest at the central station, approx. 20 minutes walk to the pier.
A parking lot costs about 3,50 € per day (2022). The parking lots are monitored. (as of 2023)

Embarkation

On the day of arrival, you can bring your luggage on board from approx. 11:00 a.m. Embarkation and check-in, however, do not begin until 2:00 p.m.

Lactose-free and gluten-free food

If you require lactose-free or gluten-free food, this is possible on board, but only for an additional charge of €8.15 per person per day, payable on board. Please indicate when booking if you require a lactose-free or gluten-free diet.

Luggage

For reasons of space we would like to ask you to refrain from bringing hard-sided luggage, the storage space in the cabin is very limited!

Tour guide on board

The tour guide offers daily guided cycling tours. Detailed cycling maps and route tips are available for guests who wish to cycle individually and at their own pace; the tour guide can always be reached by cell phone in case of questions, breakdowns or emergencies.

Available rental bikes

Available for rental are so-called unisex bikes (suitable for both men and women). They all have the 7-speed hub gears with hand brake as well as luggage bag and are available in different frame heights. 
The e-bikes are equipped with 7 gears, 6 levels of assistance, hand brakes only and luggage carrier bag. 

Bringing your own bike

You can bring your own bike to a limited extent. There is a small amount of space available for this on the ship "MS Magnifique 3" for an additional charge: €10.00 per regular bicycle or €25.00 per electric bicycle. Pre-registration is required to bring your own bicycle.

Return transfer to the starting point of the trip

There are good train connections between Amsterdam and Bruges. 

Extra costs which are not included in the tour price

1 Dinner, drinks, entrance fees and excursions not listed in the included services as well as expenses for personal use are not included in the tour price.

In case of chain breakdown, flooding or other bad surprises that makes a continuation of your tour impossible: no problem, we also work during weekends and you can reach us 7 days a week in case of emergency.

Passport and visa requirements

For EU citizens, there are no special passport or visa requirements and no health formalities to be considered for this trip.

Travel insurance

The tour price already includes the statutory insolvency insurance. In addition, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance upon receipt of your travel confirmation in order to protect yourself against financial disadvantages in the event of travel cancellation, interruption of travel, illness or accident.
