Tour

Individual arrival in Split. Embarkation between 2 PM. and 2:30 PM. in the port of Split. Around 4:30 PM. we offer you a guided city tour of Split, whose old town, which is a World Heritage Site, was built directly into the famous palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Learn interesting details about the city's history and visit the most important sights. The ship remains in the port of embarkation overnight.

The island of Brač is famous for its brilliant white limestone, which was used in the construction of the White House in Washington and the Reichstag in Berlin, among other things. You will cycle from picturesque Pučišća, home to one of Croatia's most famous sculpture schools, to Bol. The famous "Golden Horn", one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, is very close by. If you wish, you can take a refreshing dip here before the MS Harmonia takes you to the island of Hvar in the port of Jelsa, where you spend the night.

Today you cycle across the island of Hvar. Enjoy wonderful views, the vast lavender fields and small villages before you reach the island capital of Hvar. Marvel at the magnificent Renaissance square and the Spanish fortress towering above the town. In the late afternoon, cross over to the island of Vis. You will also spend the night there today.

The island of Vis is the furthest inhabited island in Croatia from the mainland. A Greek colony called Issa was founded on the island 2300 years ago. In the afternoon, you will explore the beautiful island by bike. From the town of Vis, you cycle once around the entire island with a coffee stop in the harbor of Komiza and a traditional lunch on the way. After your bike tour, it's time to cast off and take your boat to Vela Luka on the island of Korčula. You will spend the night in Vela Luka tonight.

On today's cycle tour, you will explore the entire island. A Mediterranean climate and breathtaking scenery await you. Marvel at the beautiful views and the deep blue water on your cycle tour, which takes you to the picturesque island capital of Korčula, which competes with Venice for the honor of having been the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Overnight stay in Korčula town.

During breakfast, your ship leaves the island of Korčula and crosses over to the Pelješac peninsula to Orebić. Pelješac is recognizable from afar by the impressive, 1,000 m high Sv. Ilija mountain range. The famous local wines Plavac and Dingač come from this unique wine-growing region, whose steep mountain slopes are covered with vineyards. Today's cycle tour takes you along the coast from Orebić to Trstenik. In Trstenik, the Harmonia awaits you with a delicious lunch. During lunch, you will enjoy another crossing to the green island of Mljet. Here you will go on a second bike tour in the afternoon, during which you will get to know the Mljet National Park with its two salt lakes. You spend the night in the port of Pomena.

After breakfast, you cycle from Pomena across the entire honey island of Mljet, which is one of the most densely wooded islands in the entire Mediterranean with a forest cover of 70 percent. Homer also mentioned the island of Mljet in his Odyssey, making it the home of the nymph Calypso, who kept the famous hero here for seven years. Your ship awaits you in Sobra and it's time to cast off once again for the last crossing of this eventful week. After your arrival in Dubrovnik, you will have enough time to visit the fascinating old town, which is also a World Heritage Site. Then bring your eventful trip to a close with a cozy dinner and final evening on board.

Requirements

The cycling stages require the participants to have a certain level of fitness, which regular cyclists usually have. The routes go up between 400 - 700 meters. The daily stages of 30 - 60 km lead through hilly and mountainous terrain and are cycled without time pressure. Steeper or longer gradients can also be mastered, but pushing is definitely allowed. Instead of a bike tour, you can also spend half a day or a whole day on the ship. Please note that helmets are compulsory on the bike tours! Please bring your own well fitting helmet. A limited number of rental helmets are available on board, but must be reserved in advance.

Basically, on our e-bike & boat trips there is also the possibility to take part in the day tours with a trekking bike. However, the guided group pace is based on the e-bike riders. Anyone who rides a trekking bike on an e-bike trip should not be surprised at the faster basic speed. Trekking cyclists should also have the necessary condition to ride at this speed. Thank you for your understanding.

Available rental bikes

There are 11-gear women's e-bikes with a low entry (please state your preference in the comments and questions box when booking). Likewise 24-speed trekking bikes as women's and men's bikes. Since the trip is an e-bike tour, the group pace is adapted to the e-bike riders, so we recommend renting e-bikes.

The bikes are each equipped with an Ortlieb pannier.

Catering

The accompanying cook is a member of the crew and prepares an extensive breakfast and one or two warm meals every day. Meals include 2 x full board and 5 x half board. Meals begin with dinner on the day of embarkation and end with breakfast on the day of disembarkation.

Discounts

If the cabins are occupied by three, we grant a third person (e.g. a child) a 50% discount on the basic tour price. Children up to and including 16 years of age receive a discount of 25% on the basic tour price (cannot be combined with the 50% discount).

Children

We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.20 m (4 ft.) for hybrid bicycles and 1.50 m (4.5 ft.) for e-bikes. There is a helmet duty for all children up to age 16 in Croatia.

Itinerary changes

We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements. If necessary the tour will be operated in reverse.

Bringing your own electric bike

It is not possible to bring your own e-bike on the ship as a safety measure and to protect the health of the guides. If you want to ride an e-bike, we can offer this for booking.

Extra costs which are not included in the tour price

Sum for local taxes and drinking water on board and on the bike tours (payable locally to the captain): 60 euros per adult or 30 euros per child up to and including 16 years.

Passport and visa requirements

For EU citizens, there are no special passport or visa requirements and no health formalities to be considered for this trip.

Travel insurance

The tour price already includes the statutory insolvency insurance. In addition, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance upon receipt of your travel confirmation in order to protect yourself against financial disadvantages in the event of travel cancellation, interruption of travel, illness or accident.
