Roundtrip at Chiemsee

Bavaria, where it is most beautiful! Be surprised by the Chiemsee and its fantastic surroundings. During the summer season the Chiemgau is blossoming: Discover the gentian flower, the alpine pastures, the cotton grass and the wild orchids. Immerse yourself in blue and white checkered cities like Rosenheim and Wasserburg. 1. day  Arrival Chiemsee and 10 km bike ride

Individual travel to Lake Chiemsee. Bernau at the Chiemsee is well accessible via the highway A8 or via train. Who likes can already start with a short bike ride to the castle of Herrenchiemsee or to the “Fraueninsel”. Whatever you choose to do, in the evening you'll be welcomed by a delicious gourmet meal.

2. day  Bernau - Seeon, 40 km

This morning you ride beautifully along the banks of lake Chiemsee. Enjoying the variety of plants
and wildlife you'll be caught up by the bright blue lake Chiemsee. We recommend a pleasant stroll along the promenade in Seebruck. For a few miles you are leaving the Chiemsee, but you are already looking forward to your next destination, the city Seeon with its over 1000-year-old Benedictine monastery. In the evening you can be excited for an unusual dinner from an other time at a nearby restaurant.

3. day  Seeon - Frasdorf, 48 km

In the morning you cycle back to the beloved Chiemsee and continue your lake tour. Cheerfully
you 'll cycle to Aschau, where Heinz Winkler is cooking. From here you can hike or make an ascent by cable car up to the Kampenwand. Enjoy a unique view from the summit! Take your time and experience the mountain air and the marvelous mountain world. The final kilometers to today’s destination Frasdorf are cycled quickly.

4. day  Frasdorf - Rosenheim, 25 km

The new day begins interestingly! You'll visit a mountain cheese dairy whose specialties are produced according to an old traditional method. Back in the saddle you'll roll to the Inn today. Let yourself be surprised by Rosenheim, the pearl of the Inn Valley between the Chiemsee and the Wendelstein Mountain. The unforgettable panorama of the Alps, the historical houses and its Mediterranean flair will enchant you. You'll enjoy dinner and overnight in the ambiance of a medieval monastery.

5. day  Rosenheim - Wasserburg, 35 km

Today we have two secret tips for you: We tell you the Rosenheim address of one of the best wine shops in Germany and we provide you with the address of a known confectionery with delicious chocolates. Try the black gold and refresh yourself for the coming hills slopes. Arrived at the top you can get excited for a wonderful downhill ride to Wasserburg. Enjoy a view like in a fairy tale: A city with pastel-colored walls, bay windows and battlements, a gateway and a splendid castle on a narrow island loop.

6. day  Wasserburg - Bernau am Chiemsee, 45 km

One can not get enough of it. The splendid Alps surprise with always new prospects. Nonetheless you should make a worthwhile break in Amerang that is known as a museum village – it is the only Bavarian village featuring three museums and a historic railway line. Again and again, you cycle up and down back to Chiemsee. You made it to the destination and can allowed yourself to be pampered in the evening.
