As of now, we can also offer you for many tours bikes with integrated tailwind: The Velociped electric bike with a Vital Bike electric drive that can be switched on respectively off at the touch of a button, at any time. You can use the motor for ascents or headwind only or as permanent assistance. Without this assistance cycling is just as easy as it is with the other Velociped tourers. The Velociped electric bike offers you the possibility to cover even larger and harder day trips without physical exertion - you will always reach your destination rested and relaxed.

If the motor is switched off the Velociped electric bike runs like a conventional bicycle. The driving speed is legally limited to 25 km/h. If this limit is exceeded, the motor stops automatically.

Gear shift and brakes
All operating functions (7-speed gear hub, brakes) of the Velociped Electric Bike are in line with those of a conventional bike. In addition, the left side of the handlebar is equipped with a twist grip. Moving the twist grip forwards (in driving direction) the motor is activated.
Front wheel motor S 3
The front wheel motor S 3 is very low and has a continuous rating of 250 watt, allowing for a high torque drive of approx. 60 Nm. You can even cycle ascents of about 15 % without great effort.
Battery
Only lithium-ion-batteries are used in the Velociped Electric Bike according to the latest standards of technology. These batteries are particularly lightweight, they have a high charging capacity and are extremely safe. What's more: The battery is placed in a lockable case of the luggage rack - with a flick of the wrist, the battery can easily be removed for being recharged. The coverage depends on the intensity of bikers' use and normally is 40 to 60 kilometres.
Battery recharger
The battery recharger developed by Vital Bike especially for bicycle tours only weighs 500 g and can easily be carried along in a saddle bag. The charging period for an empty battery is about five hours, the battery is fully loaded over night.
